The Production of Beer

Raw Materials
Water, Malt, Hops, Yeast.
These simple raw materials represent the basic ingredients for the production of beer.

Production Processes
Grinding the malt and mixing it with water to extract sugars. Filtration of the mixture and boiling of the wort. Addition of hops, Whirlpool and decanting. Cooling of the wart, fermentation and ageing.

History of the Beer

Water

Water is the main ingredient of beer. It must be pure and for this reason must be always monitored.

Barely malt and hop

Barely malt is obtained by maltation (controlled germination and drying) of the barley. The malt obrained, suitable for the extraction of starch, which is transformed into sugars, macerated with water to obtain the fermentable wort.

This mixing phase between malt and water takes place in the brewing room, where the boiling of the wort and the addition of hops happens.

Yeast

Once it's cooled down, the fermentable sugar wort is fermented thanks to the yeasts. In this phase of fermentation/ripening, the wort must be stored in suitable tanks.

This production process takes place in the fermentation tanks.
